The Ferris State University Athletics Department will continue to make an impact this season in various media platforms across the globe. Numerous Bulldog athletics contests will be televised locally, regionally and nationally along with first class radio coverage.  Together, Ferris State fans will be kept up to date with the most recent information available. 


Television:

Since 2006, the Ferris State Hockey program has made more than 50 appearances on national and regional television including networks such as Comcast, ESPN, Fox Sports and the NHL Network. Ferris State basketball, football, volleyball and soccer competitions have also been televised on Comcast & ESPN3 in recent years. In addition to watching select Bulldog athletic events on television, fans can watch all football, along with men's and women's basketball home contests on any internet enabled device such as Androids, Blackberries, iPads, iPhones, etc. here. Ferris State Television

All home football games along with all home hockey events are televised on a tape-delayed basis by Ferris Television. Ferris TV is produced by the FSU Television & Digital Media Production Department (TDMP). The network is broadcast locally to Charter Cable subscribers in Canadian Lakes, Evart, Big Rapids and Reed City. Ferris TV can also be found on the Big Rapids campus. Ferris State Sports Update on FOX 32 & Comcast

The Ferris State Sports Update, which is a half-hour interview show profiling Ferris State Athletics, will air across most of Northern Michigan on FOX 32 each Wednesday night at 10:30 p.m. (ET) throughout the year. In addition to FOX 32, Comcast/Xfinity (channel 900) airs the Ferris State Sports Update throughout the midwest covering major cities such as Detroit, Grand Rapids, South Bend, and Toledo.  The show is produced by Ferris State University's Television and Digital Media Production (TDMP) students in partnership with the Bulldog Athletics Department.

Radio:

Listen to FSU Athletics LIVE on 97.3 FM WDEE

The Ferris State University Athletics Department, in conjunction with the Bulldog Sports Network, is midst a multi-year broadcasting and promotional agreement with local radio station WDEE (97.3 FM). Sunny 973 is the flagship station for all football, hockey and men's and women's basketball contests throughout the athletics campaign. All broadcasts, home or away, will be proceeded by the 30-minute "Bulldog Pregame" show, which features a preview of the game, comments from the coaches and news from around the conference.  The broadcasts will also include a "Bulldog Postgame" show recapping the event with live interviews from players and the coaching staff. 
 
In addition to listening to Bulldog athletics on the radio, fans can listen to all football, and men's and women's basketball contests on any internet enabled device such as Androids, Blackberries, iPads, iPhones, etc. (Here) 

Veteran play-by-play announcer Rob Bentley will provide the play-by-play coverage for all Bulldog Football contests this fall with local media personality Sandy Gholston offering color commentary.  The duo has been part of the Ferris State football broadcast team for more than a decade and is also expected to serve as part of the basketball broadcast team again this winter. Harrison Watt will serve as the Bulldog Hockey play-by-play voice for the third-straight year in 2018-19.

Bulldog Sports Update (Weekday's)

Fans can tune into flagship radio station Sunny 97.3 FM daily to catch the "Bulldog Sports Update" each weekday morning at approximately 7:30 a.m. (ET)


Ferris State Friday's on The Huge Show

Along with weekday morning updates on Sunny 97.3 FM,  Ferris State Athletics has also had a continued partnership with The Huge Show, now carried statewide on the Michigan Radio Network. "Ferris State Friday's" will air statewide at 5:45 p.m. (ET) as part of the "Huge Show" hosted by Bill Simonson on the Grand Rapids based station.  The eight to 10 minute weekly segment will feature a live interview with a Bulldog guest each and every week.

Network Expansion

During the 2012 NCAA Frozen Four, Ferris State Athletics offered expanded radio network coverage for fans across North America (Map of Network Affiliates). The Bulldog Sports Network added two network affiliates as WJML Radio (1110 AM) in Petoskey and WJNL Radio (1210 AM) in Traverse City both carried the games along with flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM. In addition, more than 70 radio stations carried the semifinals live on Westwood One Radio along with 135 for the championship game. Sirius/XM also covered the Bulldogs throughout North America on satelite radio.
