Don't Miss "Honoring American Heroes Day" At Top Taggart Field! 

Honoring American Hereos Day The Ferris State University football team will kick off their 2010 home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 11, against Saginaw Valley State under the lights at Top Taggart Field.  Kickoff is at 6 p.m. (EDT) for the "Honoring American Heroes Day" contest.

As part of the activities for the home opener, FSU will honor those who serve our country with all first responders such as police, ambulance, firefighters earning free admission along with all veterans and current military members.  One dollar of each ticket sold will support the FSU Veterans Student Organization.

The day's activities will begin with a Red, White and Blues tailgate event sponsored by FSU Student Government at 3 p.m. (EDT).  After the FSU-SVSU contest, a concert will take place inside the stadium at approximately 9 p.m. (EDT) with the annual postgame fireworks display following at 9:45 p.m.

3 p.m. - Concert by Big Daddy Fox

3 p.m. - Football Jersey Sale
(Game worn jerseys sold outside the stadium)

6 p.m. - FSU vs. Saginaw Valley State

9 p.m. - Concert by Michael Peterson (field level)

9:45 p.m. - Fireworks!

Commemorative Coin:


The Ferris Veterans Association will be selling a commemorative coin for the "Honoring American Heroes Day" event.  The coins will be sold at the s tadium for $10 each.


U.S. Army Vehicle Display:

The U.S. Army will have several vehicles on display inside Top Taggart Field during the day, including a Multiple Exhibit Vehicle (MEV) or H3 (shown below).  The unit is eqiupped with a custon audio-visual system, which includes LCD screen, monitors, audio equipment, live camera and X-Box gaming sytem.
