Marissa Van Alst will serve as an intern for the Ferris State Athletics Communications Office for the second consecutive year in 2018-19.

In her role at FSU, Van Alst has a primary focus on promoting Ferris State’s nine NCAA Division II women’s programs with a hand in social media, website and video content generation.

Van Alst is in the Journalism and Technical Communication Program at Ferris State University where she focuses on digital design.

A Cadillac High School graduate, Van Alst was an accomplished high school athlete. She was Michigan Dream Team skier, first team All-State skier and a regional champion. Van Alst also earned all-region honors in track and field and was part of a state Final Four volleyball team at Cadillac.

Her hobbies include volleyball along with snow and water sports and spending time with her dogs.
