FSU Athletics To Celebrate "Month Of The Bulldog Fan"
Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University, in cooperation with
the school's sports communication class, has announced its first
"Month of the Bulldog Fan" social media initiative.
The effort will serve as both a way to reward Bulldog fans for
their support and dedication throughout the year along with
attracting new followers to the Bulldog nation.
The "Month of the Bulldog Fan" will run from now thru May 20 and
fans will be able to win prizes, including shirts and more in a
special "Bulldog gear" photo competition that runs thru the end of
the school year.
To enter, fans can take a photo of themselves and/or their friends
in their favorite Bulldog apparel and email the picture to ferrisathletics@yahoo.com with
a name and email address. The top photos will be posted on Ferris
State's social media platforms throughout the month and winners
will be chosen periodically to receive a prize with notification
via email. Complete contest rules and restrictions are
attached.
The top submissions in the photo contest will be eligible win win
a grand prize consisting of a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn and
four tickets to a home football game of their choice in 2013
(excluding homecoming).
Additionally, fans are also encouraged to submit their "most
memorable" Bulldog Athletics moments in history via email with the
top submissions earning an opportunity to win additional prizes.
Some of the top fan moments will also be tweeted and shared
via FSU's social media platforms throughout the next month.
In addition to the opportunity to win prizes, fans will also be
treated to exciting social media updates and posts during the
"Month of the Bulldog Fan" on the school's official athletics
facebook and twitter platforms. The daily updates will
include such items as historical moments in Bulldog history,
important Bulldog facts, breaking news, features, alumni notes of
interest and more.
All Bulldog fans can help Ferris State increase its reach by
encouraging others to join the "Bulldog Nation" on facebook and
twitter throughout the month.
The event is being coordinated by the sports communication class
at Ferris State under the direction of Dr. Sandy Alspach in
cooperation with Ferris State Athletics.
