"Bulldog Football Celebration" & Festival Of The Arts Pre-Super Bowl 50 Tailgate Sunday
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University football program will be featured in a popular local community initiative this Sunday (Feb. 7) as fans gear up for the NFL's Super Bowl 50 with a special event at the Wheeler Pavilion on the FSU campus.
The first "Bulldog Football Celebration & Pre-Super Bowl 50 Indoor Tailgate Party" will take place on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. as part of the annual "Festival of the Arts" celebration held in the Big Rapids area.
Bulldog fans are invited to the Wheeler Pavilion on Sunday for the free community event on the second floor President's Box level.
In addition to celebrating the success of the back-to-back GLIAC Champions this past fall, the Festival of the Arts committee has also joined with the Ferris State Athletics Department and local sports photographer Scott Whitney to provide a unique opportunity to celebrate the success and showcase great football art and Bulldog memorabilia.
The event will include an opportunity to meet selected members of the Bulldog Football program, enjoy great food and fellowship and take home some unique items. All of the Super Bowl 50 pregame TV coverage will be shown as well.
Artwork on hand will include football art posters, mounted and player-autographed photographs by Scott Whitney from FSU's record-setting season along with a signed FSU football gameday autographed by squad members.
This year marks the ninth year of the Festival of the Arts, a collaborative effort of Ferris State University and the Big Rapids Community. The annual celebration began Jan. 29 and runs daily thru Feb. 28 with a variety of activities and events. A total of more than 70 events will take place during the 2016 Festival of the Arts with schedule booklets available throughout the community.
