"Bulldogs After Hours" Tour Across Michigan To Celebrate Ferris State Football Success

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University alumni and fans across Michigan will have an opportunity to celebrate the Bulldogs' recent gridiron success this May as "Bulldogs After Hours - A Celebration Of Ferris State Football" makes four tour stops across the Great Lakes State.

Bulldog head coach Tony Annese and various staff members will visit the Michigan communities of Washington Township (May 3), Canton (May 4), Lansing (May 11) and Wyoming (May 18) in the month of May.

Each event, which is presented by the FSU Gridiron Club, will get underway in a private area at Buffalo Wild Wings starting at 7 p.m. (ET) with a cash bar available. Appetizers and soft drinks will be provided.

In addition to Coach Annese and selected members of his staff, Athletics Advancement Officer Will Goode will also be in attendance along with potentially other administrators and student-athletes.

"We're excited to celebrate the success of Ferris State Football and meet with alumni and fans of the Bulldogs," Goode said.  "We're thrilled to announce these dates and hope everyone in these areas can come out and join us as we gear up for another exciting championship run this fall."

Alums and fans are encouraged to RSVP to Will Goode by calling (231) 591-3818 or email goodew@ferris.edu as soon as possible.

This past fall, the Bulldogs posted a 12-3 overall record while advancing to the NCAA Division II National Semifinals for only the second time in school history. In 2016, the Bulldogs also posted a school-record tying 12 victories. Ferris State received the program's third-straight NCAA Football Playoff berth and captured the Super Region Four Championship by beating archrival Grand Valley State during a memorable postseason run. The 15-week campaign, which included three postseason playoff wins, was the school's longest in 108 years of Bulldog Football.

Over the last three seasons at Ferris State, the Bulldogs have compiled a 34-5 overall record and claimed two conference championships, posted two unbeaten regular-seasons, captured a regional title and reached the national semifinals. Ferris State has also accumulated two Harlon Hill National Player of the Year trophies, twice had a student-athlete tabbed as the nation's National Scholar-Athlete of the Year and won four postseason games.

In the five seasons under Annese, the Bulldogs have become a national power on the Division II level. FSU has posted a 49-12 overall mark in the last five years and the Bulldogs have also posted the best winning percentage of all 21 collegiate programs in the state of Michigan along with the GLIAC since his arrival.
