NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL: Ferris State vs Valdosta State (D2 Championship)

The Ferris State University football team has advanced to the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship game this coming Saturday, Dec. 15, in McKinney, Texas. The 15-0 Bulldogs will face the 13-0 Valdosta State (Ga.) Blazers in the D2 title game at 4 p.m. (ET) on ESPNU at the McKinney ISD Stadium.

The game will be aired live by ESPNU and WatchESPN and also air locally on flagship station Sunny 97.3 FM and online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

TICKET INFORMATION:
Tickets are currently available for purchase online and each team has access to 2,000 reserved and general admission tickets with all tickets being located in prime locations directly behind their team bench area. FSU will be on the home sideline for the game. Reserved tickets are $25 each for chairback seats with general admission bench seating $20 per ticket. Children ages two and younger will be admitted free of charge.

SPECIAL FAN EVENTS/CELEBRATIONS:
On Friday night, a special "Fan Fest" will take place at Tupps Brewery in McKinney featuring live music, bands, food, a program and more. All fans are invited to attend the championship pep rally event hosted by the NCAA and the local community from 6-8 p.m. (ET). The venue is located at 721 Anderson in McKinney.

Prior to Saturday's contest, the Ferris State University Alumni Association will hold a special pregame celebration for alumni, family and friends at Buffalo Wild Wings in McKinney located at 2035 N. Central Expressway from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (CT). Additional information on the pregame celebration can be found at this link below:

Following Saturday's game, a special postgame reception for FSU fans will also be held at the Embassy Suites team hotel from 6:30 to 9 p.m. (CT) sponsored by the FSU Alumni Association. It will include complimentary appetizers and snacks along with a cash bar in the Frisco 2 room. The hotel address is 76000 John Q Hammons Drive in Frisco. All Bulldog alumni and fans are invited to come out and honor the team.

STADIUM GAMEDAY INFORMATION:
The gates to the McKinney ISD stadium will open at 1:30 p.m. (CST) on Saturday with kickoff set for 3:05 p.m. (CST). The ticket offices will open on both the east and west sides of the stadium 90 minutes prior to kickoff. There will be a $10 parking fee at the McKinney ISD Stadium and no re-entry to the stadium without the purchase of a new ticket.

Fan tailgating is permitted within the McKinney ISD Stadium starting at 11 a.m. (CT) on gameday. The MISD stadium also has a no-bag policy and fans are not allowed to bring any outside food or beverage items inside the stadium. All fans may be subject to security inspection prior to entry into the stadium.
