Tickets For This Fall's "Battle At The Ballpark" Game Go On Sale July 16

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University Athletics, in conjunction with the West Michigan Whitecaps, have announced tickets for this fall's "Battle At The Ballpark" gridiron contest between FSU and Michigan Tech to be held at Fifth Third Ballpark will go on sale Monday, July 16.

The Bulldogs and Huskies will clash on the home field of the Minor League Baseball squad on Saturday, Oct. 6, with kickoff for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) tilt set for 2 p.m. (ET).

"We're excited about the opportunity to showcase our program in front of so many fans, alumni and supporters in the Grand Rapids area and across West Michigan," said FSU head coach Tony Annese. "We have a ton of respect for Michigan Tech and expect this game to be highly-competitive, which will make for an entertaining contest for the fans in a great venue."

General admission tickets for the contest are only $12 for adults or $5 for all students, including K-12 and college students. Tickets can be purchased directly thru the West Michigan Whitecaps either in person at Fifth Third Ballpark, online (https://www.ticketreturn.com/prod2/team.asp?SponsorID=11907) or by calling (616) 784-4131 beginning July 16.

All fans must purchase a game ticket for the contest as no FSU passes will be allowed, including the Division II Pass for Two, GLIAC passes or tickets for Bulldog home contests purchased through membership in the Gridiron Club.

Tailgating will begin at 11 a.m. (ET) leading up to kickoff and both suite rentals and several other group hospitality options are also available and noted below. For additional information on group hospitality, please call Fifth Third Ballpark at (616) 784-4131. Corporate sponsorships for this event are also available now thru Fifth Third Ballpark.

The contest at Fifth Third Ballpark will also serve as FSU's "Football Alumni Day" with all former players invited and encouraged to attend. Bulldog football alums and their guests can purchase a special gameday experience package for only $30 that includes a game ticket, special gift and access to the Miller Lite Deck along with a Fifth Quarter postgame reception with appetizers and a cash bar. The venue will give former players access to a private space above the playing surface to watch the game.

Former players should signup and purchase the special package online (http://attend.com/DawgsAtPark) and must register and pay by Sept. 14. Registration will also be available at the first two Bulldog Football home games this fall at Top Taggart Field for football alums.

Finally, the FSU Alumni Association will also be holding a special event in conjunction with the game. A pregame luncheon will take place beginning at 12:45 p.m. and feature a special seating area on the Budweiser Bowtie Deck. The cost is only $25 for adults and $18 for children (age 3-12), which includes an all-you-can eat lunch and game ticket. The Bulldogs will begin their 110th season of varsity competition this coming fall with their sights set on making a fifth consecutive trip to the NCAA Division II Playoffs. FSU has made back-to-back NCAA Division II National Quarterfinal appearances and is one of only five teams in all of college football to win at least 11 games each of the past four years. The Bulldogs along with Northwest Missouri State are the only programs in Division II football to make the playoffs each of the past four seasons.

In six seasons under Annese, the Bulldogs have become a national power on the Division II level. FSU has posted a 60-14 overall mark in the last six years and the Bulldogs have also posted the best winning percentage of all 21 collegiate programs in the state of Michigan along with the GLIAC since his arrival. Last summer, Hero Sports picked FSU as Michigan's Best College Football program regardless of division.

Ferris State will return nearly 50 letterwinners for the 2018 campaign and is picked as the nation's #3 team in the Lindy's Sports Division II Preseason Rankings.
