Ferris State Football Media/Photo Day Set For Aug. 23 At Top Taggart Field

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University football program will hold its 2018 Media & Photo Day on Thursday, Aug. 23, at Top Taggart Field on the FSU campus in Big Rapids, Mich. The event will coincide with the team's final scrimmage of fall preseason camp.

Regional and statewide media are encouraged to attend the event, which will feature the availability of Ferris State football student-athletes and coaches for interviews.  The event will be held in conjunction with the squad's individual and team photo shoot, which begins with all players in uniform at 8:30 a.m. (ET).

The Bulldog Football Media Day provides an opportunity for local and statewide media outlets to interview various players and staff associated with the 2018 Ferris State football team. All media are invited to attend at any time during the photo shoot, which runs prior to the morning scrimmage.

The Thursday morning scrimmage is slated to begin following media/photo day activities and will mark the final major scrimmage of preseason camp, which began last week, for Ferris State.

The Bulldogs will begin their 110th season of varsity competition this coming fall with their sights set on returning to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the fifth-straight year after back to back national quarterfinal appearances. The Bulldogs are the nation's preseason #3 squad according to Lindy's Sports.

The schedule is expected to be a challenging one with a full 11-game slate. The Bulldogs will open the season at home under the lights at Top Taggart Field on Thursday, Aug. 30, with a non-conference matchup versus East Stroudsburg (Pa.) starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET).

Following the season opener, the Bulldogs will host Findlay in week two in a potential non-conference battle of ranked squads before opening league action on Sept. 15 at Northwood. Overall, FSU will play five home games at Top Taggart Field and will also host GLIAC foe Michigan Tech on Oct. 6 in the "Battle At The Ballpark" to be played at Fifth Third Ballpark in Comstock Park.
