Big Rapids, Mich. - The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament quarterfinal-round matchups have been set for the Ferris State University men's and women's basketball teams.

The Bulldog women's basketball squad will be the number six overall seed in the tournament and visit third-seeded Wayne State on Wednesday, March 6, at the Matthaei Complex in Detroit.  Tipoff is slated for 8 p.m. (ET).

Meanwhile, the FSU men's basketball team also drew the number six overall seed and will travel to third-seeded Findlay for quarterfinal-round action on Wednesday.  Tipoff is at 6 p.m. (ET) inside Croy Gymnasium in Findlay, Ohio.

The quarterfinal-round winners in both the men's and women's tournaments will advance to the GLIAC Tournament semifinals and finals set for Saturday and Sunday, March 9-10, at the site of the highest remaining seed in each field.

The winner of both the men's and women's GLIAC Tournaments receive an automatic bid into the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament slated to be held March 15-18 (women) and March 16-19 (men) at locations yet to be determined.

Ferris has posted a 10-12 overall record in 13 previous league women's basketball tournament appearances and will be making its second-straight appearance in the women's field. A year ago, the Bulldogs reached the championship game in their first berth since the 2008-09 campaign when FSU advanced to the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals for the third-straight time.

The Bulldog men are 10-15 all-time in 13 previous tournament appearances and reached the GLIAC Tournament Championship game as the host institution two years ago before falling on the road at Michigan Tech last year in the quarterfinals. Ferris captured the 1997-98 league tourney title and will be making its eighth appearance in the last nine years, including a fifth consecutive showing.

The women's team enters postseason play with a 13-12 overall mark and earned a wild card nod after posting a 12-10 record in league play.

The Bulldog men's basketball team concluded the regular-season with a 14-12 overall record and also claimed a wild card spot after placing fourth in the North Division with a 13-9 league ledger.  FSU tied with Hillsdale for the fifth overall spot in the field, but dropped the tiebreaker to the Chargers.
