Bio

A Chicago native, Greer appeared in 31 games and made 16 starts for Hofstra in 2016-17 after spending two years on the junior college level at Daytona State College in Florida. 

Greer averaged nearly six points and four rebounds per contest for Hofstra in 2016-17 while adding 18 three's and shooting 65% from the free throw stripe. He also pulled down 84 offensive boards and had 13 steals on the year for a squad that compiled 15 wins. Overall, he had nine double-figure scoring games.

Prior to his time at Hofsfra, Greer averaged 12.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and shot nearly 40% from beyond the arc for Daytona State in 2015-16 while helping lead the Falcons to a 25-win season. In 2014-15, he averaged eight points and 5.1 rebounds for the 21-win Falcons. As a freshman, he earned second team All-Mid-Florida Conference accolades and followed that up with first team all-conference and FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII All-State honors as a sophomore.

On the prep level, Greer was a second team all-state pick for Chicago's Orr Academy by the News-Gazette and a third team all-city selection by the Chicago Sun-Times. He averaged 16.9 points and 8.6 rebounds in his final prep campaign and ranked first on the team in scoring along with second in rebounding. Additionally, he ranked in the top 10 percent of his graduating class and was a two-time team MVP selection.
