Sellout

Ferris State's National Championship Men's Basketball Golf Outing Officially SOLD OUT!

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced the 15th annual Bulldog Men's Basketball Alumni and Friends Golf Outing set for Wednesday (July 25) at FSU's Katke Golf Course is officially sold out.

The annual four-person scramble serves as one of the program's primary fundraising events and this year's outing drew strong interest following the Bulldogs' national championship campaign this past season.

Overall, more than 100 golfers have taken part in the event each of the last five years and the annual outing has continued to grow with 150 plus golfers each of the past two years prior to the sellout.

"I'm looking forward to another great outing and celebrating a historic season of Bulldog Basketball," said FSU head coach and National Coach of the Year Andy Bronkema. "It's awesome to see a sellout for the event. The support we generate from this outing will help keep us on an Elite level."

This past season, Ferris State captured the school's first national championship and also matched the all-time NCAA Division II record for victories in a season with a 38-1 campaign. FSU, which topped Northern State 71-69 in the national championship game in Sioux Falls, S.D., capped a magical season which saw the Bulldogs match the all-time NCAA Division II record for most wins in a year while finishing with a 38-1 mark.

FSU also won its second consecutive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Regular Season Championship, a fourth-straight GLIAC Tournament title and the Midwest Regional crown in 2017-18. The Bulldogs have presently made four consecutive trips to the NCAA Tournament under Bronkema's direction.
