Big Rapids, Mich. - Three Ferris State University senior student-athletes have been chosen to take part in the annual Addix Basketball Champions College All-Star game set for this Wednesday, March 27, at Hope College's DeVos Fieldhouse in Holland.

The 13th annual game, which features the top college stars from Michigan, will be played this year at Hope College with the women's game at 6 p.m. (ET) and the men's game starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET). The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for kids and a flat $20 fee for families with the doors opening at 5 p.m.

Ferris State will be represented by a pair of men's basketball standouts from West Michigan in guard DeShaun Thrower (Muskegon) and forward Markese Mayfield (Grand Rapids/Godwin Heights), who will both compete on the Team Stripes roster.

In addition, senior forward Abby Nakfoor (DeWitt) of the FSU women's basketball squad was selected to the women's Team Stripes roster for the opening game of the twinbill.

The game pits top college basketball players from the Greater Grand Rapids Area from leagues such as the GLIAC, Big Ten, Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association and the Mid-American Conference.

Proceeds go to Hope College's Children After School Achievement (CASA) program that, since 1987, has helped at-risk school children by providing free after-school tutoring and individualized summer school.
