Men's Golf Finishes 14th At Findlay Spring Invitational

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team wrapped up action on Tuesday (March 27) at the Findlay Spring Invitational, which took place at the University Club of Kentucky on the Big Blue Course in Lexington, Ky.

The Bulldogs finished 14th overall in a strong field with a 620 team figure. FSU shot a 308 in round one before firing a 312 team score over the final 18 holes of action in the two-day event.

Ferris State was led by both Jason Martinus and Andrew Hammett, who both tied for 45th individually. Martinus shot a 79 in round one and a 75 in the final round to post a 154 score. Hammett also carded a 154 on rounds of 70 and 84, resepectively.

The Bulldogs' Josh Jeffords and Andrew Proctor both shared 61st place with 156 scores as Jeffords shot a 80 in the first 18 holes followed by a 76 in round two with Proctor carding a 79 in the first and a 77 in the final round.

Finally, Humml Felix placed 115th in the field at 171 on rounds of 87 and 84 Monday and Tuesday, respectively.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Sunday and Monday, April 1-2, at the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational, which will take place in Columbus, Ind.
