Ferris State Ties For 9th At Wisconsin-Parkside Men's Golf Spring Invitational

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team took part in the Wisconsin-Parkside Spring Invitational, which was held early this week at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind.

The Bulldogs tied for ninth in a large field with a 590 team score after shooting identical rounds of 295 in each of the 18 holes of action.

Ferris State's Josh Jeffords had an impressive tournament as he was midst a four-way tie for first place with a 141 score. After shooting an even-par 72 in day one competition, he came back with a three-under 69 score.

The Bulldogs' Andrew Hammet placed tied for 27th at 147 overall. He also carded a 72 in the opening 18 holes before totaling a 75 over the final round.

FSU's Jason Martinus tied for 32nd overall at 148 on rounds of 74 each day while Andrew Proctor tied for 66th with a 154 total on back-to-back 77 scores.

Fianlly, FSU's Brad Walling placed 91st at 171 with a first-round 84 score followed by an 88 in the final round of the 36-hole tournament.

Ferris State's Humml Felix also took part and competed as an individual and finished tied for 53rd overall with a 152 total on identical rounds of 76 each day.

The Bulldogs are next in action April 8-10 at the University of Indianapolis Invitational slated to be held in Noblesville, Ind.
