Ferris State's Joshua Jeffords Tabbed As GLIAC Men's Golfer Of Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - For the first time in his collegiate career, Ferris State University sophomore men's golfer Joshua Jeffords (Onsted, Mich.) has claimed this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Week honor.

Jeffords had an impressive weekend of action as he tied for first place overall in the Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational held over the weekend at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus, Ind. 

The Bulldog golfer shot a first-place tying 141 score to finish in a four-way tie atop the leader board. After shooting an even-par 72 in day one action, he came back with a three-under 69 score in the final round.

It marked his first tournament win of his collegiate career. His play helped FSU finish with back-to-back 295 team scores each day in the 36-hole event.

The Bulldogs are next in action April 8-10 at the University of Indianapolis Invitational slated to be held in Noblesville, Ind.
