Men's Golf Wraps Up Action At Findlay Doc Spragg Fall Invitational

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team wrapped up action in the Findlay Doc Spragg Fall Invitational on Tuesday (Sept. 24) with a 907 team score for 13th place overall at the Findlay Country Club in Findlay, Ohio.

The Bulldogs shot a 298 in round one followed by a 310 in the second round on Monday (Sept. 23) before finishing with a 299 figure in Tuesday's final 18 holes of action.

FSU sophomore Thomas Hursey placed tied for 24th overall at 223 for the tournament on rounds of 70, 74 and 79.

Meanwhile, freshman Nathan Kraynyk came in tied for 30th in the field with a 224 figure as he shot back-to-back 75's in the two rounds of action Monday before closing with a 74.

FSU's Tanner Moore finished tied for 52nd at 230 for the tournament with a 76 in the opening round followed by a 81 and a 73 in rounds two and three, respectively.

The Bulldogs' Daniel Shattuck placed tied for 65th at 232 with rounds of 79, 80 and 73 while Trent Barth finished 84th with a 241 stroke total on rounds of 77, 85 and 79 overall.

Wayne State won the 18-team tournament with a 872 total, topping host Findlay by a single stroke. WSU's Brendan Seys won individual medalist honors with a 209 figure.

The Bulldogs will be back in action on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28-29, at the Hawkshead Links Invite in South Haven, Mich.
