Bulldog Men's Golf Third Overall After Round One At Bill Blazer Memorial

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's golf team carded a 299 team score on Friday (April 9) in the opening round fo the Bill Blazer Memorial and currently sits in third place overall entering day two action in Pickerington, Ohio.

The Bulldogs trail leader and host Ohio Dominican along with Malone by only six strokes as both teams shot a 293 figure in round one on the 6,785-yard Turnberry Golf Course layout.

FSU's Thomas Hursey is the individual leader following the opening round as he shot a four-under par 68 with Nathan Kraynyk tied for 19th with a 76 score.

The Bulldogs' Trent Barth carded a 77 and is tied for 26th in the field with Adam Madzri shooting a 78, which was good for a share of 28th place.

Finally, Joshua Jeffords posted a 80 score and is tied for 37th in the field.

A total of 10 teams are included in the event with round two slated to take place on Saturday (April 10) in Ohio.
