High School/Juniors: Has spent the last two seasons (2008-09 and 2009-10) playing for the Vernon (British Columbia) Vipers of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) . . . Coached by Mark Ferner . . . Helped Vernon capture the Royal Bank Cup as Canadian Junior A Hockey National Champions in 2009-10 as the Vipers posted a first-place 51-6-0 record (105 league points) in the BCHL's Interior Conference Division . . . Accounted for the championship's initial goal with a first-period lamplighter in an 8-1 victory over the Dauphin (Manitoba) Kings in the title contest (May 9) . . .
