"First of all, on behalf of my staff and our team I want to send a prayer out and a blessing out to Butch Mousseaux and his family and what they are going through right now. It hurts to lose a hockey game, but at the end of the day it's a game so we want to make sure from us, Butch has been a Beacon for our guys. Matt L sent out a tweet today that he loved when he worked his games so thoughts and prayers to him and his family. Second thing is, I want to congratulate Bob Daniels and staff, Perk Weisenburger and their administration and their entire team on winning the Broadmoor Trophy. I think it's a difficult trophy to win, as I said going into the weekend whoever is left standing will have earned it and they earned it. They deserved to win the game today and so from our side I want to tip the hat to Ferris State and congratulate them on winning the Broadmoor.
"From our side I thought we came out and obviously got a break and scored a PP goal and usually when we've gotten off to a good start we've had some pretty good luck, but I thought that Ferris just kept coming and we couldn't keep up with their pace and so we were chasing the game quite a bit tonight. Its one of the first times in a long time that we've lost the possession battle, but we did tonight. That's the game; you want to give credit to Ferris because they deserve it. From my side and our staff's side were going to miss this group of seniors for obvious reasons. They've won 100 games in their four year career since they've been here that's on ice, and the things you don't get to see off ice in the classroom, how they did it over their four years. We're going to miss them for a lot of different reasons not just on the ice. Tough way to end the season, but I do believe that Ferris State will represent the WCHA very well in the NCAA tournament because they are battle tested and they proved that tonight."

"I'd like to start by congratulating the WCHA office for really running a great tournament and providing a championship environment. I thought the crowd was great, and obviously it was in our favor so that was terrific, but I think the effort that was put forth by the WCHA and also Ferris State University n terms of providing this type of atmosphere and this experience for the student athletes was outstanding. The other thing in regards to the game, it was a bit of a blur right now to be honest with you, but if you would have told me before the game that we would have held Minnesota State to 15 shots on goal, I'd have been extremely surprised. Hats off to our players for playing great defensive hockey and the penalty kill along with a bit of an oddity that each team took a 5 minute major which you rarely see in that type of game. It was also odd in that that all the goals were scored on either the power play or the penalty shot, and I think it shows how close us and Minnesota State really are. Its really splitting hairs between any of the four teams that were down here, but you're really splitting hairs between the teams and a lot of times it comes down to a bounce or a break that goes your way. I just want to congratulate Minnesota State on a great year and the McNaughton Cup for them. It feels special when you beat a program like Michigan Tech and Minnesota State. It means a lot and we will certainly cherish this one."
