Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University fans wanting to purchase reserved season tickets for the 2016-17 Bulldog men's ice hockey campaign have until this Wednesday (Aug. 24) at 5 p.m. (ET) to do so thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office.

Fans can guarantee seats for all 17 home contests as the Bulldogs welcome a big slate of opponents to the Ewigleben Ice Arena for the school's 42nd season of collegiate hockey in Big Rapids, which was recently voted the nation's #5 college hockey city in the country. This year's home schedule features opponents such as Michigan, Michigan State, Western Michigan, Minnesota State and more.

Seating is expected to be at a premium again this season based on results of strong student season ticket sales this summer. The Bulldogs have officially posted 20-plus sellouts overall in the last four years and the "Dawg Pound" student section has recorded 81-straight sellouts to date as Bulldog Hockey continues to be one of the hottest tickets around.

"Bulldog Hockey fans provide an atmosphere that makes our arena one of the nation's toughest venues to play in for opposing teams," said FSU head coach Bob Daniels. "It's tremendously entertaining and our players realize how special it is to play in such a big time environment."

Adult season ticket prices for the 2016-17 season are $200 with seniors (ages 65+) along with FSU faculty/staff prices set for $190.  A student ticket (age 3 to 12th grade) is $115 with all current Ferris State student tickets sold for $99 with valid student identification. The student season ticket price will go up to $116 after Sept. 16 if availability remains.

Reserved season tickets will remain on sale and must be purchased by August 24 at 5 p.m. (ET). After that date, any unsold seats will be available for the general public to purchase once single-game ticket sales begin on Sept. 19.  Forms will be mailed soon to all past season ticket holders, who are encouraged to renew and reserve their seats as soon as possible.

Fans purchasing season tickets will be allowed to pick the seats their choice, see a savings of $80 versus purchasing tickets the day of the game, and potentially enjoy exclusive experiences like Gallery seating, zamboni rides, and the pulling of the goal horn.

All reserved season tickets must be purchased directly thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located in the Ewigleben Sports Complex.  The office is open Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) at this time with extended hours being offered once the school year begins. For additional information regarding season ticket packages, please call the ticket office at (231) 591-2888.

The Bulldogs, who are the defending WCHA postseason champions and coming off a NCAA Final Eight appearance, will embark on their 42nd campaign this coming fall and again face perhaps one of the country's toughest schedules as they seek their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last six years.

The 2016-17 schedule is highlighted by matchups against every other in-state Division I opponent from Michigan, including non-conference home showdowns against Michigan, Michigan State and Western Michigan inside FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena. Overall, the Bulldogs will play host to five of the other six D1 programs from Michigan this coming year. This coming season will represent the first time in which the Bulldogs have faced every Michigan opponent in the same campaign since the 1995-96 season.

Along with the premier matchups against the in-state foes, the Bulldogs will also entertain conference rivals such as Minnesota State and Bowling Green as part of a 17-game home schedule.

The Bulldogs will open up the 2016-17 campaign on home ice with one of the program's earliest starts ever as they play host to Alabama Huntsville on Oct. 1-2 in a conference-opening WCHA series.

The Bulldogs closed the 2015-16 campaign by making the program's fourth NCAA Tournament appearance, including the third in the past five years to date. Along with this past year's run to the NCAA West Regional Championship game, the Bulldogs also won the WCHA's Broadmoor Trophy as the league's Final Five Champion. It marked the first conference tournament championship in school history and came on the heels of conference regular-season titles in both 2012 and 2014.

Along with a Frozen Four berth and national title game showing in 2012, FSU also has reached the regional final and the final eight of the NCAA Tournament in both 2014 and 2016.
