Big Rapids, Mich. - The start of the 2017-18 Ferris State University men's ice hockey campaign is less than three weeks away and fans wanting to purchase tickets will have an opportunity to do so as single-game tickets for all home contests are currently on sale.
With the success of the Bulldog program in recent years combined with the electric atmosphere inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena, seating is expected to be at a premium again this season.
Fans can purchase seats for all 16 regular-season home contests as the Bulldogs welcome a big slate of opponents to the Ewigleben Ice Arena for the school's 43rd season of collegiate hockey in Big Rapids, which was recently voted again as one of the nation's top 10 college hockey cities.
This year's home schedule features opponents such as Michigan State, Western Michigan, Michigan Tech and more.
"Bulldog Hockey fans provide an atmosphere that makes our arena one of the nation's toughest venues to play in for opposing teams," said FSU head coach Bob Daniels. "It's tremendously entertaining and our players realize how special it is to play in such a big time environment."
Fans can save on single-game tickets by purchasing in advance rather than waiting until gameday. Tickets can be purchased in person at the FSU Athletics Ticket Office, online at StarTickets.com or by calling 1-800-585-3737.

The "Dawg Pound" student section has been sold out for nearly 100 consecutive regular-season home contests over the last six years. Overall, FSU has posted more than 25 total sellouts at the Ewigleben Ice Arena since the second half of a historic 2011-12 campaign in which the Bulldogs reached the national championship game at the NCAA Frozen Four.
The Bulldogs, who have reached the NCAA Final Eight three times since 2012, will embark on their 43rd campaign this coming fall and again face perhaps one of the country's toughest schedules as they seek their fourth trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last seven years. This year will mark FSU's 40th season of NCAA Division I hockey.
The 2017-18 schedule is again highlighted by matchups against every other in-state Division I opponent from Michigan, including non-conference showdowns against Michigan, Michigan State and Western Michigan. Five of the six will make the trek to FSU's Ewigleben Ice Arena, including home-and-home series' against both MSU and WMU, while the Bulldogs will face Michigan twice in Ann Arbor.
Overall, the Bulldogs will play host to five of the other six D1 programs from Michigan this coming year. It will represent the second-straight year in which the Bulldogs have faced every Michigan opponent in the same campaign after doing so this past season for the first time since 1995-96.
Along with the premier matchups against the in-state foes, the Bulldogs will also entertain challenging conference rivals such as Bemidji State and Bowling Green as part of a 16-game regular-season home schedule.
Since 2012, the Bulldogs have made three NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the NCAA Final Eight all three times. FSU has also won two conference regular-season championships along with capturing the WCHA's Broadmoor Trophy once as the league's Final Five Champion. Along with a Frozen Four berth and national title game showing in 2012, FSU also has reached the regional final and the final eight of the NCAA Tournament in both 2014 and 2016.
