Salmenkangas joins the Bulldog roster as a 19-year old product of the HPK U20 program in Finland out of Jr. A SM-lliga, where he compiled an impressive .930 save percentage with a 1.58 goals against average in 45 regular season outings. In the postseason, he also made five appearances with a .926 save percentage and a 1.80 goals against average.
