Bio

2018-19: Played in 34 games for the Bulldogs in 2018-19 as a freshman…finished with seven goals and six assists for 13 points to lead all freshmen forwards in scoring for Ferris State…took 28 shots on goal, scored on 25 percent of them…had a pair of power play goals, a shorthand and a game-winning goal…his first career point came in the midst of a three-point game (a current career-best for Wendt) on October 19, 2018 vs. Mercyhurst in a 5-2 victory. Wendt’s goal at 7:41 of the second period broke a scoreless tie, Wendt had an assist, his first collegiate, at 15:53 of the same period on the eventual game-winning goal, finished with another goal at 14:48 of the third period for a 2-1-3 final line…had his second multi-goal game on November 2, 2018 at Michigan State when he scored twice…had a four-game point-streak from January 26-February 8 (2-2-4)…earned WCHA rookie of the week for October 22, 2018.

High School/Junior: Played for Trevor Stewart of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) from 2016-18. Had 17 goals and 44 assists for 61 points in 60 games for Fairbanks in 2017-18. Was named to the All-NAHL Team and led the league in assists last season. Was on the NAHL All-Midwest Division Rookie team in 2016-17 when he scored 20 goals for Fairbanks. Played youth hockey for the Belle Tire program.

Personal: Father Tim Wendt played for Ferris State from 1981-85… mother’s name is Kathy…born October 27, 1997…plays forward, shoots right…native of Royal Oak, Mchigan…has a sister, Haley…attended Brother Rice High School in Bloomfield Hills…played lacrosse as a freshman.
