Clarke Becomes Fourth Bulldog This Season To Turn Pro With Witchita Thunder

Witchita, Ks. - The ECHL's Witchita Thunder announced the signing of Ferris State senior forward/defenseman Cameron Clarke to a standard contract.

The Tecumseh, Michigan native was converted from defenseman to forward and had an effective second half for the Bulldogs as a senior. The former Boston Bruins draft pick is the third Bulldog today (March 6) to announce their professional signing.

With the signing, Clarke becomes the fourth member of his class to turn pro, and Ferris State's 27th alum active in professional hockey in the 2019-20 season, joining Brandon Anselmini, Chad Billins, Jason Binkley, Kyle Bonis, Justin Buzzeo, Brendan Connolly, Simon Denis, Cory Kane, Ryan Lowney, Gerald Mayhew (NHL), Frankie Melton, Troy Milam, Troy Milam, CJ Motte, Pat Nagle, Derek Nesbitt, Zach Redmond, Blair Riley, Kyle Schempp, Austin Shaw, Garrett Thompson, Jared VanWormer, Charles Williams, Zach Yoder, and Cooper Zech. 

Clarke has not yet been assigned a number and joins former Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) player Jay Dickman (Bemidji State) with the Thunder.

The Thunder are on the road to take on the Kansas City Mavericks tomorrow (March 7) in Kansas City at 7:05 pm ET.
