FSU Tennis Teams Open Spring At Home

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams officially return to the courts as they open their spring season action at home over the course of the next few days.

The Bulldog men's squad will play their first dual match of the year on Saturday (Feb. 19) as they host Aquinas in a non-league match at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.  Match time is set for 11 a.m. (ET).

Meanwhile, the FSU women's squad begins the spring portion of their season with a pair of matches next week at the Racquet and Fitness Center.  Ferris first hosts Albion on Tuesday (Feb. 22) at 2 p.m. (ET) before facing Hope next Friday (Feb. 25) at 3 p.m.

Both Bulldog teams are guided by fourth-year head coach Alex Palladino and fans are invited to come out and cheer on the Bulldogs.  Admission is free.

The FSU women posted an 11-3 overall mark in the fall portion of the 2010-11 season and were 9-2 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) competition.

Last season, the men's squad recorded a 12-8 overall mark and were 6-1 in the GLIAC.  They will play their first league encounter of the year on March 18 against Lake Superior State at home in Big Rapids.
