Bulldogs Shutout MTU In League Home Match

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team completed its weekend homestand with a 9-0 shutout over Michigan Tech in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Saturday (March 19) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs improved to 7-2 overall and remained unbeaten in GLIAC play at 2-0 with their second conference victory in as many days.

The Huskies, meanwhile, fell to 4-6 overall and 0-2 in league competition.

Ferris State won all three doubles flights, including two by identical 8-5 scores, in grabbing the early advantage.

FSU then proceeded to claim all six singles spots with five coming in straight-sets en route to the victory.

Ferris hits the road for a pair of key matches as the Bulldogs visit perennial league archrival Northwood on Monday (March 21) for a 1 p.m. (ET) league tilt in Midland.

Ferris then heads to face NCAA Division I Western Michigan on Tuesday (March 22) before returning home for three more conference matches next weekend (March 25-27) in Big Rapids.
