Men's Tennis Dominates In GLIAC Opener

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team officially opened Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action with a dominating 9-0 win over Lake Superior State on Friday (March 16) afternoon in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich.

FSU won its league opener in commanding fashion at the Arbuckle Student Activity Center.  All five singles flights were won in straight-sets and FSU also swept the doubles round.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 6-4 overall this season while the Lakers fell to 3-6 overall with the setback in their first conference encounter.

Seven different Bulldog players contributed to the win.

Ferris State continues league action in Michigan's Upper Peninsula as the Bulldogs visit Michigan Tech on Saturday (March 17) for a 10 a.m. (ET) league tilt in Houghton.
