Bulldog Men's Tennis Storms Past Lake Erie

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team made quick work of visiting Lake Erie in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Saturday (March 31) morning at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs improved to 11-6 overall and 6-1 in GLIAC action with a dominating 9-0 shutout of the Storm in Big Rapids.

Ferris State won all three doubles flights by commanding scores, with the closest coming by an 8-2 count at the top position in the lineup.

In singles play, Ferris State swept all six spots in straight-sets.  The two closest singles matches were both determined by identical 6-1, 6-1 scores at the numbers two and three flights.

The Bulldogs wrap up their four-match homestand versus Wayne State on Thursday, April 5, starting at 2 p.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.  FSU then visits rival Grand Valley State on April 12 for their final league regular-season match of the 2012 campaign.
