Men's Tennis Reaches GLIAC Semifinals

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the 2012 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament with a dominating win over Findlay on Friday (April 20) night.

The second-seeded Bulldogs topped the seventh-seeded Oilers by a 5-0 score in the quarterfinal round to reach the semifinals where they will face third-seeded Wayne State on Saturday (April 21) starting at 4 p.m. (ET).

The league tournament is being held at the Midland Community Tennis Center.

FSU swept the doubles round against Findlay and won the first two completed singles matches in straight-sets to take the match.  The two singles triumphs came at the number four and six positions in the lineup.

Ferris State improved to 14-6 overall this season while Findlay fell to 8-9 overall with the setback.
