Ferris State Tennis Home Matches Cancelled Due To Power Outage

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams scheduled non-conference home matches against Lewis (Ill.) on Sunday (April 13) have been cancelled.

The two schools were slated to square off against each other in a double dual with both men's and women's action taking place, but the event was called off due to a power outage in the Big Rapids community from a severe storm late Saturday night. The outage impacted nearly the entalso knocked out power at the FSU Racquet & Fitness Center.

The contest was the final scheduled regular-season contest for the women's team. The next action for the Bulldog men will be a GLIAC showdown on the road at archrival Grand Valley State on Tuesday (April 15) beginning at 9 p.m. (ET) in Allendale.

The FSU men's team will then return home to host Northwood in league play on Thursday (April 17) starting at 2 p.m. (ET) in Big Rapids. The match against the Timberwolves will be FSU's final league encounter prior to the GLIAC Tournament April 25-27 in Midland.
