Ferris State Dominates Competition In Bulldog Men's Tennis Invitational
Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad had another impressive day as the Bulldogs rolled to success in the Bulldog Invitational, which wrapped up action with final day competition on Saturday (Sept. 13) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
The Bulldogs, who won all 12 of their contested doubles encounters in Friday's opening day of play, came back to pull out wins in 21 of 22 singles matches over three rounds in Saturday's competition.
The annual home invitational featured a non-scoring format and included participants from FSU, Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech.
All told, the Bulldogs emerged victorious in 33 of the 34 matches in which they had student-athletes competing over the course of the weekend.Six different FSU participants took part in Saturday's singles action.
Ferris State next takes part in the 2014 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships set for Sept. 19-21 in Indianapolis, Ind.
