Ferris State Men's Tennis Picks Up First Victory Of Spring Season

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team rolled to its first win of the 2015 spring campaign as the Bulldogs posted a 7-2 non-league road win at Aquinas on Saturday (Feb. 7) in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Bulldogs won the top two doubles positions to build a 2-1 lead in the match heading into singles action and then added wins in five of the six singles flights to register the decisive victory.

Ferris State swept the top four singles spots and a win at six singles as the Saints' lone wins of the day came at third doubles and number five singles.

FSU had three double winners on the day as Roger Hernandez, Vasil Surduk and Tyler Bridges all captured wins in both singles and doubles play.

Ferris State is next back in action on Feb. 21 with a home non-league home tilt against Northwestern Ohio at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids starting at 10 a.m. (ET).
