Ferris State Men's Tennis Captures Fourth-Straight Win With Impressive Sweep

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team kept its win streak intact as the Bulldogs rolled past visiting Olivet Nazarene by a 9-0 count on Friday (Feb. 27) inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in non-league action.

The Bulldogs opened up a weekend homestand with the impressive sweep of ONU to move to 4-1 overall this season. The victory came on the heels of a conference-opening road triumph at rival Grand Valley State earlier this week.

In Friday's match, FSU bolted out to a quick 3-0 lead following doubles play after wins of 8-5, 8-4 and 8-2 at the first, second and third flights, respectively.

The Bulldogs then came back to sweep the singles round, which included a pair of three-set wins at the top two positions in the lineup.

Overall, a total of seven FSU competitors saw action in the sweep with five double-winners on the day for Ferris State.

The Bulldogs wrap up the weekend homestand against regional foe Indianapolis in a non-conference tilt on Saturday (Feb. 28) starting at 9 a.m. (ET) at the Racquet and Fitness Center.
