Ferris State Completes Weekend Sweep In Decisive Fashion Against Dragons

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team completed an impressive weekend home sweep as the Bulldogs topped visiting Tiffin by a 9-0 count on Sunday (March 22) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs, who beat fellow league member Findlay to open the two-match stand on Saturday, rolled to the win over the Dragons. FSU improved to 9-5 overall this season with the win and stayed unbeaten in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at 3-0 with the triumph.

Ferris State won the three doubles flights by scores of 8-5, 8-0 and 8-3 at the three spots in the lineup, respectively, and then took all six singles flights in straight-sets.

The Bulldogs were decisive winners in singles action and a total of seven different individuals contributed to the team win as FSU wrapped up the weekend homestand.

Ferris State will next hit the road for a pair of league contests next weekend as FSU travels to Michigan's Upper Peninsula for a two-match set. The Bulldogs will face Michigan Tech on Saturday (March 28) in Houghton before meeting Lake Superior State on Sunday (March 29) in Sault Ste. Marie. Both matches get underway at 10 a.m. (ET).
