Bulldogs Suffer Setback To Nation's #7 Team In Florida Encounter

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad fell to nationally 7th-ranked Saint Leo (Fla.) by a 9-0 count on Wednesday (March 9) in Florida.

Host Saint Leo claimed the win at the Saint Leo Tennis Center in a match between a pair of nationally-ranked squads. FSU entered the match ranked 32nd in the country.

Saint Leo swept the doubles round, which included a tight 9-7 decision at the number one flight, in jumping out to the early advantage on the Bulldogs.

The hosts then claimed the win by taking all six singles flights with the closest margin coming at the number four flight in the lineup.

The Bulldogs fell to 8-3 overall this campaign with the setback while Saint Leo immproved to 5-0 on the year.

Ferris State will wrap up its trip to the Sunshine State by facing Methodist on Thursday (March 10) in Kissimmee, Fla. Match time is set for 10 a.m. (ET).
