Region's Top-Ranked Bulldogs Stay Perfect With Dominating Win In League Opener

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team stayed perfect on the season as the Bulldogs opened Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play with a decisive 9-0 sweep over Findlay on Saturday (Feb. 25) inside FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center.

The region's top-ranked Bulldogs won their league opener by sweeping the singles and doubles rounds against the Oilers to move to 4-0 on the year.

The victory was FSU's second in as many days during a three-match weekend homestand and came on the heels of an exciting 5-4 win in a showdown versus the region's second-ranked squad in Indianapolis on Friday in Big Rapids.

Ferris State utilized eight different players in the match and the Bulldogs took a 3-0 lead into the singles round after taking all three doubles flights.

In singles action, FSU won all six spots in straight-sets against Findlay.

Ferris State, which is currently ranked 20th in the country, hosts Hillsdale to complete its weekend homestand on Sunday (Feb. 26) starting at 12 p.m. (ET).
