Ferris State Posts Decisive Men's Tennis Win Over Rockhurst In GLIAC/GLVC Crossover

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University rolled past Rockhurst (Mo.) by an 8-1 count in men's tennis action on Saturday (March 18) as the Bulldogs completed day two competition at the inaugural Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC)/Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Crossover in Plainfield, Ill.

Ferris State posted dominating wins at all three doubles flights and built a 3-0 edge heading into singles action where FSU then managed to claim five of the six spots in the lineup.

Two of the six singles flights went to three sets with the Bulldogs receiving a victory from Vasil Surduk at the number two position. The Hawks' lone win came at four singles in three sets.

Surduk joined Till von Winning, Steward Sell and Daniil Tarantinov as double winners on the day for Ferris State.

With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 8-2 overall this season. FSU is currently ranked 20th in the nation and is first in the Midwest Region.

The Bulldogs wrap up the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover against Lewis (Ill.) on Sunday (March 19) starting at 3:30 p.m. (ET).
