Ferris State's NCAA Men's Tennis Regional To Take Place On Saturday & Sunday This Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University has announced this week's NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Midwest Regional Tournament will now take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 29-30, rather than the previously announced schedule.

Fourth-seeded Grand Valley State and fifth-seeded Rockhurst (Mo.) will open the Midwest Regional bracket on Saturday (April 29) at the Racquet and Fitness Center starting at 11 a.m. (ET) with the winner advancing to face the Bulldogs in the regional final.

The FSU men's squad drew the number one seed in the Midwest Region and earned a first-round bye. FSU will face GVSU or Rockhurst in one of two Midwest Regional finals in Big Rapids this Sunday (April 30) starting at 11 a.m. (ET) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

If Sunday's title match is forced to be moved indoors due to weather, it would be delayed to a 4 p.m. (ET) start.

The winner of the three-team event on the men's side will move on to the NCAA-II round of 16 set for May 9-12 in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

The Bulldog men's team will make its 21st all-time NCAA Tourney appearance and is guided by interim head coach Danny Hunt.
