Ferris State Rallies Back To Beat Southern Indiana In Men's Tennis Regional Action

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad won an important regional tilt on Friday (March 2) as the Bulldogs beat Southern Indiana in non-league action by a 6-3 count in Evansville, Ind.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-2 overall with their first road win of the year.

Ferris State trailed 2-1 following the doubles round as the Screaming Eagles managed to win the top two flights, but FSU battled back and claimed five of the six singles flights en route to the win.

FSU's five wins in singles action came at the top five flights in the lineup and four were decided in straight-sets. USI's lone win in the singles round came at the number six flight.

Ferris State is currently ranked 25th nationally and is one of the top teams in the Midwest Region.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday (March 3) as they square off against Chowan in Hilton Head, S.c. Match time is set for 4:30 p.m. (ET).

Ferris State will play five matches over a six-day span in Hilton Head during its spring break trip.
