FSU Men's Tennis Garners Decisive Regional Victory At Home

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad notched its second win in its last three outings as the Bulldogs beat former league foe Tiffin by a 6-1 count in regional action on Saturday (Feb. 23) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.

The Bulldogs, who were coming off a hard-fought setback to nationally ninth-ranked Indianapolis at home on Friday evening, returned the court with little overnight rest, but handled the Dragons in the decisive win.

Ferris State claimed the doubles points by winning all three flights in the lineup and FSU then took five of six singles positions to pull out the win.

The Dragons' lone triumph came at six singles as FSU took the top four flights in straight-sets and also got a win by retirement at the fifth spot.

In doubles play, the Bulldogs earned a 6-2 win at number one with both the second and third tandems recording identical 6-4 decisions.

Ferris State will return to the court on Monday, March 11, as FSU opens its spring break trip to Florida against Rollins in Winter Park. Match time is set for 11 a.m. (ET).
