Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis squad earned its seventh consecutive victory and stayed unbeaten this season with a 7-0 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home triumph over Ashland University on Saturday (March 20) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs moved to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play by beating the Eagles. The win came on the heels of a close 4-3 triumph over defending league champion Wayne State in the conference opener on Friday night.

In Saturday's win, the Bulldogs claimed the doubles point with wins at two of the three flights. FSU's top tandem of Mathis Guerre and Jan Koupil were 6-3 winners while the third pairing of Ayush Deswal and Yannic Alexander Mader came up with a 6-1 victory.

The Bulldogs then proceeded to sweep the singles round, but it included a pair of tightly-contested wins in three-setters at the first and second spots in the lineup where Guerre and Mader, respectively, came away victorious.

The bottom four singles flights were all claimed by FSU in straight-sets.

Guerre, Mader, Koupil and Deswal were all double winners on the day with both Benjamin Lortie and Josh McDermott bouncing back with singles wins after falling at two doubles.

The Bulldogs are now 4-0 in home contests this year following the victory.

Ferris State will visit longtime tennis rival Northwood on Friday, March 26, for a 1 p.m. (ET) league tilt in Midland.
