Bulldog Tennis Earns League Home Split Against Purdue Northwest

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis teams opened weekend action in Big Rapids, earning a split against Purdue Northwest in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Friday (March 31) at the FSU Racquet & Fitness Center.

The men stayed unbeaten in the GLIAC with a 6-1 win over the Pride while the Bulldog women dropped a tightly-contested 4-3 decision.

In the men' s match, Ferris State swept the doubles round and the Bulldogs then came back to win five of the six singles flights in moving to 10-3 overall and 2-0 in the GLIAC.

The Bulldogs also swept the doubles round in the women's contest, but Purdue Northwest claimed four of the six singles positions to rally back for the win.

Both Ferris State squads will host Davenport on Saturday (April 1) in league play with the women's match slated for a 10 a.m. (ET) start followed by the men's contest at 3 p.m. (ET).
