Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams wrapped up action in the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Indoor Championships on Sunday (Feb. 24) at the Kelly Family Sports Center in Allendale.

The Bulldogs women's team finished eighth in the field with 29 points over the two-day meet while the men's team recorded an 11th-place finish with 10 points overall.

FSU junior Anna Rudd led the Bulldogs as she claimed two individual event titles en route to being tabbed as both the Women's Track Athlete of the Meet along with being voted as the league's nominee for the regional track athlete of the year honor.

Rudd won the 3,000 meters on Sunday as she set a new meet record with a time of 9:37.06 in winning the field.  The time surpassed the NCAA Division II National Provisional qualifying standard and was a personal-best along with the second-best individual event performance in school history.

Previously, Rudd also aptured the conference championship in the 5,000 meters on Saturday as she was clocked in 16:42.95, which eclipsed the previous league meet record established by Lynsey Ardingo of Grand Valley State in 2010.  It was also a national provisional qualification time and she won the event by nearly 25 seconds.  Her time in the 5,000 meters was also a personal-best and ranked as the second-fastest event performance in Bulldog history.

Bulldog sophomore Shea Van Klompenberg placed fifth in the 800 meters and surpassed the NCAA Division II national provisional qualification time by clocking 2:15.64 in the event.

On Saturday, Bulldog junior Jordan Best came in sixth overall to score three points in the 5,000 meters as she was timed in 17:59.78 overall. FSU's Jessica Pilling placed seventh in the weight throw with a toss of 59-2 (18.03m), which was also a national provisional throw.

Senior Ryan Chute paced the men's team as he placed third overall in the 3,000 meters with a national provisional qualifying time of 8:24.72.  His time was a persona-best and the third-best time ever in the event in Bulldog history.

Meanwhile, junior Andrew Harper came in seventh in the same race with a time of 8:31.83 overall.

Junior Connor LaRowe was seventh overall in the 800 meters (1:54.05).
