Ferris State Track & Field Begins 2016 Action At Bob Eubanks Open

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams officially began the 2016 calendar portion of their schedule as the Bulldogs took part in the Bob Eubanks Open hosted by Grand Valley State on Friday (Jan. 15) night in Allendale.

The meet featured student-athletes competing from NCAA Division I schools such as Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, Valparaiso, Oakland, Toledo, DePaul and more along with other schools such as GVSU, FSU, Cornerstone and others.

FSU's Jessica Delaney placed 14th in the women's 3,000 meters (10:37.35) with Jordan Lee 16th in the 800 meters (2:26.31).

The Bulldogs' Rachel Long came in 17th in the weight throw (47-2.25) with teammate Maycee Robinson in 18th place (47-1).

The Ferris State men's team was led by Cody Stillwell, who placed 10th in the weight throw (52-6.50). Tyler Satkowiak was 13th in the same event (49-11.25).

FSU's Logan Hammer came in 15th in the men's mile run (4;27.55) with Trevor Holowaty in 18th place (4:30.35)

Ben Lentz placed 20th in the 400 meters (53.01) while Ross Miller took 20th place in the shot put (44-11.75).

The Bulldogs will return to action on Jan. 30 at the Saginaw Valley State Cardinal Open in University Center, Mich.
