Ferris State Track & Field To Take Part In GLIAC Indoor Championships This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams will take part in the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 24-25) in Allendale, Mich.

The annual league meet will be hosted by Grand Valley State University and take place inside the Kelly Family Sports Center.

The competition will feature nearly 500 student-athletes from 10 women's teams and eight men's programs in one of the most highly anticipated NCAA Division II meets throughout the country.

Tickets are $8 for adults per day or $5 for students (age 6-17) and $2 for college students with ID. 

The meet will begin on Saturday with the women's pentathlon at 9:00 a.m., followed by the men's Heptathlon at 9:25 a.m. The field events will start at 1:30 p.m. while the running events will commence at 2:50 p.m.

The second and final day is on Sunday.

Scoring in the meet will be on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for eight places for individuals and relay events.
