Ferris State Competes In 2018 GLIAC Track Outdoor Championships In Ohio This Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will take part in the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which take place Wednesday thru Friday (May 2-4) in Ashland, Ohio.

The annual league meet will be hosted by Ashland University at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex. Adult tickets are $12 per day or $25 for an all-session pass with student and senior tickets $5 per day or $10 for the all-session pass.

Multi events kick things off on Wednesday while field and running events start Thursday with preliminary heats. Champions will be crowned following finals races on Friday.

All 15 league member schools will take part in one of the most highly anticipated NCAA Division II meets throughout the country.

The GLIAC meet begins at 1:30 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday with the start of the men's 100 meters in the multi-events. The bulk of the events kick off on Thursday with the competition beginning at 2:30 p.m.

The third and final day of action is on Friday with field events beginning at 10:45 a.m. followed by track events starting at 12 p.m.

Scoring in the meet will be on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for eight places for individuals and relay events.
