Bulldog Cross Country Races In Two Weekend Competitions

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country teams hit the course this weekend with competition at two different meets.

The Bulldogs sent selected competitors to the Muskegon Jayhawk Invitational on Friday in Muskegon with the bulk of the top portion of the lineup competing in the Lewis Crossover Classic on Saturday morning in Romeoville, Ill.

Bulldog senior Katie Etelamaki led the women's team at the Lewis Crossover on Saturday as she placed eighth overall in a time of 22:55.4 on the 6K course.

FSU sophomore Paige Deitering finished 63rd overall (23:50.5) with Katelyn Hutchinson 135th (24:42.9), junior Kylie Hutchinson 139th (24:44.6) and senior Kensington Garvey 160th (24:50.9).

On the men's side, Weston Rackley paced the Bulldogs as he took 124th place (27:02.3) in the 8K event. FSU's Aaron Jarema came in 184th (27:29.2) with freshman Brandon Wirth 221st (27:52.4), sophomore Donis Harris 227th (27:59.8) and junior Mark Jacobs 248th (28:13.0).

The Bulldogs will next compete in the GLIAC Championships on Oct. 26 in Westville, Ind.
