High School: Received third-team all-area accolades in senior season at Lockport (Ill.) Township High . . . Prepped by Marissa Chovancec . . . Graduated in 2009 . . . A two-year varsity team starter . . . Batted .313 with 36 base hits, two doubles, 24 runs scored, 11 bases on balls, and stolen eight bases in final prep campaign . . . Hit for a .391 average as a junior with 22 hits in 67 official plate appearances, which included three doubles and triples apiece . . . Chalked up 31 RBIs, 24 runs scored, seven stolen bases in as many attempts, a .463 slugging percentage, a .377 on-base percentage, and had an .826 fielding percentage in 2008 junior campaign as team posted a 28-6 overall record . . . Helped 2006 team register a 33-1 mark and a 29-5 record in her 2007 sophomore season . . . Participated in school's cheerleading team both her freshman and sophomore years . . . Member of seventh-grade basketball squad which advanced to the Sweet 16 state tournament for the first time in school history.
