Friday Softball Doubleheader Rescheduled

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University's scheduled Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) softball doubleheader versus Saginaw Valley State on Friday (April 20) has been rescheduled due to wet weather and field conditions.

With Friday's cancellation, the two teams will now play a four-game league series with two games each on Saturday and Sunday (April 21-22).

Saturday's opening day of competition between the two GLIAC North Division counterparts will start at the previously announced time of 1 p.m. (ET) for game one followed by game two at approximately 3 p.m. (ET).

On Sunday, the two teams will play a conference twinbill beginning at 10 a.m. (ET) for the opener with the nightcap at approximately 12 p.m. (ET).

Today's cancellation marks the first time the Bulldogs have had a day of scheduled action called off this spring.

The Bulldogs currently own a 23-21 overall mark this campaign and are 14-12 in GLIAC regular-season action to date.

This weekend's four-game set represents the final regular-season home tilts for the Bulldog softball team.

Three seniors will also play their final scheduled contests at home, including third baseman Makenzi Peterson, first baseman Chelsea Morris and outfielder Stephanie Dusendang.  They will be honored this weekend as part of the last home series.
